Elaina's First Day of Preschool!

Well, I am sad to say it has been too long since I updated my blog. :( I guess that is what happens when your a busy mama. LOL. Today, However, was a momentous occasion I just have to share, Elaina's first day of preschool. :) My baby is not a baby anymore.

She was super excited to start school, we have been talking to her about the new playground she gets to play at and the new friends she is going to make. I had an incline she was not going to be aprehensive about it anyway, because that would be out of charcter for her. She is a very outgoing little toddler and loves to meet new friends and everything, so I was not surprised that she was not at all nervous or crying (Daddy was the nervous one and Mommy did the crying).

When walked her back to her classroom she told us "Mommy, I like my new sshh-cool". She was so busy checking everything out that the teacher sort of reminded her " aren't you going to say bye-bye to mom and dad?" then she gave us each a big hug and kiss and off we were.

Her first of school went so great. We received a parent's report at the end of the day that said she eat well and slept well and makes friends easily. It mentioned what type activites they did with her and everything which is so great. I could not be more proud of her.

Faith, Trust, and Pixi Dust

Tonight James and I watched "Return to Neverland" with Elaina. She was so into it and would ask questions like "where going" when the ship sailed into the sky to Neverland, and when I asked her what was going on at a certain point of the movie she would reply "thay sad" in her adorable baby voice.

After the movie was over we went upstairs to put on our pajamas then came back downstairs so I could fold some laundry. Then, as I sat on the couch folding laundry, Elaina started running around the living room singing "I can fly, I can fly" & "Tinkerbell fly, fly, fly" with her arms stretched out. I was so amazed that she just did it all on her own. I glanced over at James, and we both smiled and giggled at her together like proud parents. It was the sweetest moment and definitely the highlight of my day! I love that she is getting older and using her imagination. It is a beautiful sight to see and makes me feel like a kid all over again too!

I think sometimes the simplest moments in life make the fondest memories! All you gotta do is have a little faith, trust, and pixi dust and you too can fly! ;)

Lots of Love to you, Elaina! (my little Tinkerbell)

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas Tree....

Elaina going 'round circles

Ta da! Our super cute tree!

James, I, & Elaina went to buy our cute little Douglas Fir Tree yesterday. Elaina was really "es-cig-ged" which translates to excited. We drove to one tree lot that was really expense first, then quickly realized they were priced way more than we wanted to spend, so we all headed to Home Depot. There was a big blow up Santa Claus on display which Elaina LOVED! She told me "I wanna see Ho Ho Ho". "Wook! there's Sana Cause, There he is!"
We found perfect shaped 6 foot tree for about $25 bucks, what a deal. While James was paying, Elaina decided she wanted to "go 'round circles". So random, huh? It was really cute, though. Anyway, I was a lot of fun for all of us.
Merry Christmas!

Bye-Bye Crib

My baby girl has reached yet another milestone in her young life, Sunday night I converted Elaina's crib into a daybed by removing one side of the crib railing. She was so excited and "helped" me too. We all made a big fuss over her new "Big Girl" bed and she was so proud of herself and her big girl bed that she was jumping and giggling all over the place. She kept calling everyone in the house to "come look". It was so cute!

She did so great the first night sleeping in her bed, we weren't sure if she would roll out of it or not so we put padding on the floor, but she didn't need it. In the morning when she woke up, I don't know why but she knocked on her bedroom door instead of just opening it and letting herself out. She knows how to open all the doors in the house now, even the front door and sliding glass door. It was kinda funny when I heard her though.

And this morning, after her second night in her big girl bed, she woke up and let herself out of her room and wondered over to my room to wake me up and tell me she needed a new diaper. LOL (so grown up).

I can't believe how time flies. I am so proud of my big girl!

We love you, baby!
